About Edgewater

Edgewater is the boardwalk section of town – high end casinos, theaters, nightclubs, restaurants and various other forms of entertainment make their home in this area. In the section closer to Aspen Park, there is also a botanical garden. Nearer the downtown area is Nature’s Fury, an amusement park.

Places of Interest
  • Nature’s Fury – This amusement park has the unique privilege of having the nation’s most cutting edge rollercoaster (The Solar Flare) and the nation’s only high speed wooden rollercoaster made completely with recycled materials (the Green Giant)
  • Nelson Forthmar Botanical Gardens – They have a wide variety of exotic plants available here.
  • Earth Renewed – On the island in Lake Meredith is Earth Renewed – a massive 70 foot tall metal statue of Jack Davis planting a seed in the Earth. The Earth turns and at night, the LED seeds light up, making it a popular tourist attraction, as well as a well-known makeout spot.
