Nelson Forthmar Botanical Gardens

Founded by a generous donation from philanthropist Nelson Forthmar, the botanical gardens is located in the Edgewater region of Alamy Falls. Its stated mission is to develop and maintain plant collections for display, education, research, conservation and enjoyment. The botanical gardens have numerous rare specimens from all over the world and is most well known for its tropical butterfly hothouse at the center of the gardens and its large Japanese strolling gardens.
